Grace and Force - 2/27/26

I. Song to Grace

O Beautiful one,

You make me complete.

The other half of the sky
Without you I am nothing, a brute

You give me a name.
a face.

Your grace redeems me.

I am action,
and you are inspiration

You are being,
and I am striving.

I hope to meet you
at that gathering place in the clouds.

II. Song to Force

O my warrior,

Your endeavor is noble.
But you are mistaken.

I do not wish for you to strive for me.
nor for you to subdue me.

I yearn for an equal.

Do not kneel;
Stand on your own two feet

then come,
and dance with me.

If you hope for union,
a hope I share

You must learn to sing and dance;
to join in harmony.

III. Song of Life

I'll dance and sing with you, o beautiful one.

with radiant joy.

Take my hand;
do not mind my forcefulness,
it is my nature.

Just as grace and tenderness is yours.

I stand as you wish, as an equal
the other half of the sky

When I am too rigid,
your grace will ground me

and when you are too loose,
my form will keep you up

These qualities will bring our union.
Out of that will come harmony.

A song of affirmation.
